Healing, reviving, and living in Jesus' name.

One life at a time. One step at a time.

Who We Are

Searchlights Church was formed in 2023, beginning as a small group of friends with a desire to grow in community. The group continued to grow and united around this image of a lantern, or a searchlight - reaching out and offering hope to all who are ready to receive it. Since then, our community has rapidly grown into a vibrant community of faith where we believe in the transformative power of Jesus Christ. We are a diverse group of people from all walks of life who are passionate about growing in our relationship with God and serving others. We value authentic worship, meaningful relationships, and intentional discipleship.

No matter where you are on the journey, you are welcome here.

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."

Psalm 119:105

Our Approach

We strive to be a place of healing. A traveling spiritual hospital. We meet people wherever they are on the journey and offer hope, a place to belong, next steps, and opportunities to grow and offer the same to the world around them.

Healing, reviving, and living in Jesus' name. One life at a time. One step at a time.

Our Mission

Statement of Faith

Searchlights Church does not require its members subscribe to a formal creed. The foundation of our unity is in our faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God the Father and His Living Word.

We are a free and independent church under Christ’s authority. Guided by a board of elders, we determine our own policies and practices in light of biblical expectations.

We believe God is Trinity: one God eternally existing in three persons. God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 14:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe God created the universe ex nihilo, from nothing, and made all things very good. He is the maker of Heaven and earth. (Genesis 1-2; Exodus 20:11; Hebrews 11:3)

We believe in God the Son Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh. Jesus was born of a virgin (Mary), fully God and fully man, who obeyed God perfectly, worked great miracles, died on a cross, rose from the dead on the third day, ascended to heaven, and reigns over all things and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. (John 3:16; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 10:13)

We believe the Holy Spirit gives new birth, unites us to Christ, assures us of His love, leads us in His truth, forms us in His character, convicts the world of sin and of God’s righteousness and coming judgement. He equips us with His gifts, and empowers us to be His ambassadors. He is filling, purifying, empowering and filling all those who have surrendered their lives to Jesus. (John 3:3-8; Acts 1:8; Romans 8; 1 Corinthians 12; Galatians 5:16-26; Ephesians 3:16-21)

We believe humanity has fallen into sin, and we are totally unable to save ourselves. (Genesis 3; Romans 3:12, 23; Romans 5:12)

God created humanity in his image to glorify and enjoy God and to be stewards of creation. (Genesis 1:26-28; Psalm 8; Isaiah 43:7; Revelation 4:11; Psalm 37:4)

God’s Salvation is merited only by Jesus’ perfect obedience and substitutionary atonement. Salvation is entirely God’s gift, not our achievement, and is received by faith in Christ, not works. From Him and through Him all things were made, and only through Him is there forgiveness and salvation. He will one day return to establish His perfect Kingdom forever and will judge both the living and the dead. (Isaiah 53:9; John 8:29; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 John 3:5; 1 Peter 1:18-19; Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 7:26)

We believe eternal life is not something we receive when we die; it's something we choose to live in today, and those who believe in and follow Jesus will live with Him forever. (John 17:3; Matthew 19:17)

We believe in one baptism, the communion of the saints, the forgiveness of sins, the eternal resurrection of the body, and we believe in God’s coming eternal Kingdom. (Romans 6:4; Ephesians 4:5; 1 Corinthians 10:15-17; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52)

The church is the one body of God’s people throughout all generations and from all nations. His church is the chosen instrument to advance the Kingdom of God. (Ephesians 6:10-18; Colossians 2:15; 1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 12:10-12

We believe God calls us to spread the gospel to people who don’t yet follow Christ. (Psalm 96:3; Matthew 5:14; Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Peter 3:15)

We believe the Bible is God’s inerrant, infallible, reliable Word, the only final authority for faith and life. It is God’s revealed Truth. (Proverbs 30:5-6; Isaiah 8:20; John 10:35; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter (1:21)
